4K HDR video showing the arrival of Moon’s shadow and eclipse landscape

The altitude and location of Cerro Tololo allowed to get a perfect view of the moon shadow gliding on the landscape. It was perfectly recorded in 4K with a 35mm lens. The effect was not as striking visually as in the accelerated video which dramatically enhances the arrival and departure of the moon shadow.

Overall, the video conveys very well the visual impression of the eclipse, with the “metallic” coloring of the sky and landscape before the totality, the inner corona that could be seen for some time before the start of the totality and after its end, the double diamond at C2, and the blinding solitary diamond at C3.
